Born in Baltimore, Md. I attented Baltimore City Puplic Schools. In the early 70's I attented Frederick Douglas High. Was a student of Dr. Reppard Stone and Dr. Thomas Delaine two of the Baltimore city greatest music teachers, well known for there outstanding teaching and great bands Jazz Band, Concert Band and Marching Band. My early teaching years were at Douglas High, taking Dr. Delaine's place when he moved to the Music broad office. I studied saxophone with Thomas ( Whitt) Williams and still to this day play with Whitt's Williams Now is the time Big Band. In 1979 I graduated from Howard University. In 1979 I then attended The Conservatory of Music in Brussels, Belguim and received my graduate degree (The Prim Prix Degree)there. I was a member of the Blackbyrds and Wilson Pickett's band. I've preformed with Jimmy Heath, Charlie Byrd, Frank Foster, Clark Terry, Frank Wess, Joe Wilder, Buddy Catlett, Butch Ballard, Sonny Cohn, Snookie Willams, The Ohio Players, The Isley Brothers, the Dells, Weather Report, The Temptation, The Four Tops and Earth, Wind and Fire and many, many more I've been on the Washington D.C.- Baltimore music scene for over 20 years. I'm a adjunct professor of saxophone/flute and the director of the jazz ensembles and jazz ensembles coordinator at Frederick Community College in Frederick, Maryland. I've been at the Community College for 16 years. I'm a member of the Kevin Yost Band and have performed on five of Kevin Yost CDs.
