About Me
WALL OF DOGS was a band. After the departure of their guitar player of 7 years, WALL OF DOGS became a Rhythm Section. Its a package deal, a bass player and drummer that have played together for over 11 years. Tim and Sherri Elliott were the heart and soul of the now defunked band and now as a two-dog pack are plugging into various rock and roll projects in the Colorado Front Range area.******DRUMMER/LEAD VOCALIST Tim Elliott has been playing in bands for over 20 years. Starting in 1984 he began his professional (as in actually getting paid to play) career with a northern Colorado band called Seducer, which featured future Yngwie Malmsteen/Soul Sirkus/Journey vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. Tim moved to Pennsylvania in 1987 and played and recorded with 4 different bands, including M&M Stew and Dog Pound, touring and opening shows for the likes of Molly Hatchet, Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Dangerous Toys, Dirty Looks, KIX and Zakk Wylde's Pride & Glory. In 1997 after too much east coast, Tim came home to Colorado. After getting involved with a few recording projects, he met his counterpart, bassist Sherri Pfleiger, and they decided to put their unique chemistry to work. They joined WALL OF DOGS leader Ralph Coots in 1999, and enjoyed many years of fun music and good times. Ralph retired from WOD not long after because of health reasons, and left the band in the capable hands of Tim and Sherri, who continued the band with several other guitar players up until February of 2008. Tim lists his influences as follows : John Bonham (Led Zep), Joey Kramer (Aerosmith), Jerry Gaskill (King's X), Neil Peart (Rush), Tommy Lee (Crue), Vinnie Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath), Cozy Powell (Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group, Sabbath), Eric Singer (Kiss, Alice Cooper, Badlands, Sabbath), Chris Layton ( Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble ) Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Doug Pinnick (King's X). Yes, Tim is a rock head !
********BASSIST/VOCALIST Sherri Pfleiger-Elliott was born in Pensylvainia and raised in the wilds of Wyoming. Playing in a rock band with a bunch of guys in northern Colorado? Piece of cake! She has played in various rock, blues, and country bands over the years, opening for Wade Hayes, recording with Grateful Heart, KGB and Highway Jones, performing with a smooth jazz project, Timeless, but has always been a rocker at heart! She hooked up with Tim in 1997 with KGB, and found a musical soul mate, and after 2 projects together they joined WALL OF DOGS, an all blues band at that time. After 7 years and an exciting performing/songwriting journey, the band evolved to full-on rock. Sherri got to record a song of hers with WALL OF DOGS for the first time on "SOME CRAZY SKIES", entitled "WHY", and it is turning out to be one of the sleepers on the new disc! Her solid bass lines and harmonious vocals gave the album a distinctive and exceptional flavor. She continues to look at current music as well as the music of the classic greats to constantly redefine her passion for playing. She lists as her influences: John Paul Jones (Led Zep) , Doug Pinnick ( King's X) and Ross Valory (Journey). Jams she like these days include any Kings X, Collective Soul, U2, Jet, Pink Floyd, Disturbed, Rose Hill Drive. She loves low-fi/garage if done well, and is defiant about growing up, like any good rocker should be.
