Professional: I'm a TV News producer in Toronto working at City-TV/CP24. I have been in broadcasting since 1979, got my start in radio in Yellowknife when radio station CJCD signed on. I worked in Red Deer Alberta at CKRD Radio and Television and in Edmonton at CJAX radio and CHED radio, before moving to Toronto in 1988. I moved here with my partner Ralph in an effort to get away from broadcasting, and we started up a jewelery company, Icon Designs, making our own designs and selling to stores across North America. Got back into Radio on a part time basis about a year later at CKEY Radio. Three years later I was full time, but decided to take another year off and focussed on Icon. I then started working at CITY-TV in 1993... I left in 1997 to help in the newsroom start up of A-Channel Calgary and came back to CITY in 2000 as a senior producer. Right now I am producing several talk show type programs on CP24: Talk-TV on Health, Animal House Calls, Homepage, Legal Briefs, Perfect Fit, The Mayor, The Chief, On The Quarter, Silverman Helps as well as the occasional election or budget type special. I also produce several hours of newsflow every week on CP24 and I produce the Sunday night newscast on City TV Toronto. ************************************************************ **************************Personal : As a result I don't have much of a life outside of work. In 2008 I conducted a personal fundraiser for the Arthritis Society and raised more than $10,250. Then in August, 08 I successfully reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. That was followed by a much deserved Safari and trip to the beach in Zanzibar. I am still with my partner Ralph since 1987, and in 2004 we adopted a dog, Pumpkin, a rescue featured on my show Animal House Calls. She's the best dog in the whole world, I don't know how I lived without a dog all these years. I have one tattoo.. a hawk over my heart symbolizing my dad. and I have 5 piercings... 4 in my ears, 1 in my nose.
