Ensis Aeterna was form in September 97 in Mexico City after the break of two Black Metal bands, the first shows of the band was in the Black Metal Fest 98 (Mexico City) and some Mexican Festivals With bands like: Black Empire, Nemesis Ocvlta, Ereshkigal, Xibalba, Haborym, Ancestral, Avzhia, The Zephir, Stormbringer and play with international bands like: Bewitched, Marduk, Dark Funeral and Acheron. In December 99 the band enter to the estudio to record the demo "After the Cold Battle" for American Line Productions, the line up for the demo is: Anageth (Guitars and Bass), Erigiat (Guitars and Vocals) and Gurthang (Drums and Vocals), for September 2000 the band play in El Salvador with a local support. A few months after the show in El Salvador Anageth and Erigiat left the band, Gurthang work with others bands without form nothing serious. For beginning of the 2003 Gurthang write new songs for the band but this songs never was recorded, for the summer of 2004 move to Spain to play with anothers bands. In this days Ensis Aeterna work in the new material for the CD debut that will be released after years of inactivity with Azermedoth Records.
