About Me
About me?...here goes...I'm a free spirit who enjoys each moment life brings me. I'm Italian(1st generation)/Irish/British/ French. My childhood was a European upbringing, bread & homemade pasta was always a chore. The Irish side at holidays & gatherings were full of Irish music, bluegrass, lots of banjo, mandolin, violin, harmonica, flute, & even a tuba. Really miss those days. Before my granny passed, I promised to pass the banjo on, and my Uncle Bill gave me beautiful turn of the century dixie wonder. (You can find my Uncle Bill's site at: www.bubbaguitar.com.) Music is incredibly healing for me, and I love to dance my heart out to blues, bluegrass, or just good ol' 70's/80's rock I grew up with. I enjoy letting my soul play piano. I'm an art teacher, and have been blessed to teach/help neglected/troubled children/teens, in the past through art. I'm an illustrator who enjoys creating coloring sheets/books for kids/teens. I've enjoyed adventures as a tap/ballet teacher, veterinary technician, and wildlife rehabilitator. I'm a tough cookie, and nothing will keep me down! I've had a hangman's neck fracture/halo-vest and was told I shouldn't have made it, let along walk. I owe great thanks to Butch Schnackenberg in helping me recover, and would not have made it without him. He is definately one of my heroes. I went repelling after my brace was off, which by the way was screwed into my skull in 4 places despite no pain killers. Imagine having an electric drill pointed at you and told to hold still! I made it back to tapping again, despite the dropped jaws of doctors. I've been run over by a truck, been electrocuted by a power generator, survived a parachuting accident landing with no breaks from 4500 feet. The place was soon shut down for using stolen defective parachutes, and so on...need I say more? My perspective on life completely changed,...no let's say it became more focused, and I grew to really believe in what I've had all along...I live life in the "now". I thank the universe and my angels for each day I'm here, and at the end of each day,...even if it was shitty. I really like the simple things in life, admiring the beauty of nature, and camping, hiking,....I love the Mt. Baker area, and enjoy living in Government Camp on Mt. Hood, hanging out with my dog Drew, and riding my bicycles. I'm also a hotwheels collector, comic collector, and like hellblazer, lobo, and danzig comics. Almost hate to mention,... but I've also done modeling in the past. That world is too shallow for me. Oh yeah,...and I'm a total muscle car lover, including 71 Plymouth Cuda 440, '66,& '67 Pontiac GTO, '67 LeMans, '67 Chevelle,'67 and 69 Camaro (SS Supersport!),'58 Ford Sedan,'71-'73 Mustangs and a '67 Oldsmobile Cutless!!! Vvv..vvv..vVRRRUUUUMMMMMMMMM!!!!! MMmmmm...love the sound of a muscle engine!!!!! (Oh yeah, and for those who recognize me from late 80's/90's Portland days, but are thrown off by my name, it was Ici back then. Please drop by and let me know you're alive and well, loved to hear from you!)
