about Christ in a Park... I lived all my life as a "Christian". Grew up with a strong Christian background and my parents tried their best to guide me in the right direction. At the age of 5, God appointed me as His "pianist" and since then all I knew how to do was play piano. Throughout my entire life, God just blessed me to be the best at what I did. Even over many victories, I never came to experience God in a personal level. I basically gave Him no time of the day to expand my view of Him. Soon in high school I discovered how to rebel against my parents and follow the trends of this world. My outgoing and rambunctious personality never wanted to be a part of the "quiet-and-reserved Christian life". So for 6 years I lived a life trying to fulfill my needs and satisfaction. Party scene was a perfect target where I thought my freedom can be found. Freedom to laugh, freedom to enjoy, freedom to have "fun", freedom to scream, freedom to express my feelings and freedom to unleash the true me. But never was I fully satisfied, I always wanted more. When it was over, I was always left hopeless, all alone. Parties gave me the fulfillment that I needed at the moment but it never lasted more than few hours. I often found myself lost in the pile of mess once again. Over and over the repeating cycle of wasted youth seemed to get me nowhere but one more step closer into darkness. The thought of God was always in the back of my mind but once and for all, I gave Him a chance...no, scratch that, actually HE gave me another chance. September 01,2006 I made my way to New Zealand YWAM base to set apart 5 months for God. God was with me even before I left to NZ but His presence was overtaking my heart as more time was spent with Him. First month and a half, I still struggled with my desires to live the past life. I couldn't fight it off and knowing myself, I thought I would give in so easily when I went back home. But little did I know, by God's freely given grace and strength I can overcome anything in this world!! At the moment my heart wasn't ready but I made a decision to commit my life to Him. Not just with words but with my heart, to be committed to Him at all times. Oh man, how wonderful God is!! From that very second, my heart started to change. My life was being reborn, restored and renewed. The changes that I saw in myself was indescribable, something I could NEVER have done on my own strength. I am a new person with a found identity in Him. My needs are met and my only satisfaction comes from God. Even though I've wasted a good amount of my life, God has turned it all around to be used for His glory. It is truly awesome to be a part of His testimony and the transformation He has done in my life, it is hard not to believe that He is a true living God. I am still who I am...God's musician, God's pianist and God's worshiper. Til my dying day, will I ever forget who He has made me to be.
