“…playing havoc with various dance forms in a riotous take on continental cabaret of the Cold War era. They make the most of cabaret’s permissive tolerance, crossing boundaries of propriety and protocol…”

Like sinking your teeth into a hot jam donut, The Caravan of Love will entice and delight. Things may get a little sticky, but that’s part of the fun.
The Caravan of Love is a group of four women from dance and drama backgrounds who have been delivering a monthly Kabarett for the past past two years. Full of strange characters, beautiful songs and bite size acts of absurdity, their work, models both its content and aesthetic on the grimy, sultry and satirical style of Berlin Cabaret. At first glance the work seems frivolous, lavish, hysterical and at times, even a bit of a mess. When the dust settles, however, the underlying suggestion is often a clever commentary on diverse social issues.
From the misty mountains of Snowmanlandia comes the legend of The Caravan of Love: A tale of mythical proportions told through the distorted view of four wild women. Hear the amazing story of the unbelievably hairy yet still incredibly beautiful woman. Catch a rare glimpse of the mountain dwelling Tofudabeast. Set your mind twirling with the avant-garde styling of Vrushka- the Huntress. The Caravan has been traveling the globe for centuries, delivering endless nights of debauchery, dance, song and silliness to their audience. It’s a freak show of irrational theatre, exotic characters, lavish costumes, and tongue in cheek hilarity. The Caravan conjures up Berlin in the ‘30s; it’s smoky, sultry Kabarett at its best. It’s absurd, it’s satirical and it is definitely NOT art!
Using the form of cabaret, the four women deliver the story of how they became alegendary troupe of performing misfits. The audience plays an active role in the show and is encouraged to yell out, get down and drink up. The Caravan of Love presents...Kunst Ist Scheisse, incorporates choreography that samples every dance style of the last century, a repertoire of eclectic song both live and recorded, exquisite puppetry and sumptuous costumes.
