New posts every TUESDAY, THURSDAY, and SATURDAY. This is really becoming a body of work that I'm quite proud of. I hope you check it out--it's a lot better than some of the crap I post here in my MySpace blogs.
"Aging Nymphs" Internet radio show by and for cool chicks of any age! (And guys like us, too.)

Every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. PDT, my co-host(and cool Harley-riding sister) Lori Biker and I cover a variety of topics. If you listen live, you'll be able to call in to join the discussions and if you miss it, you can always download the archives.

MONTHLY COLUMN: Check out my monthly column for http://living-las-vegas.com/ My most recent column posts January 7 (great to read at work). It's a nice site with an insider's perspective of what it's really like to live in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for the misadventures of Linda Lou on the first Wednesday of every month.
Hmm... what else should you know about me?
I fancy myself as being very nice, down-to-earth, and unpretentious. Highly value creativity. Great sense of humor; I particularly like to laugh at my own weirdness. Lots of energy, positive attitude; having fun is a priority in life! Kind to old people and hope to be one someday.
On the other hand, I'm germ-phobic (is there anything more terrifying than the all-purpose rag?), self-obsessed, stubborn, afraid of most animals (especially birds), and I'm the type who would tell the pope how to say Mass. How doooo I stay single?
For work, I'm a kick-ass technical writer and corporate trainer, though I should say I get zero sense of self-identity from my job (see Top 10 blog entry). I love to write creatively, especially humor, and sometimes do stand-up comedy, which is 1000 times harder than it looks.
I'm currently considering self-publishing my manuscript, Bastard Husband: A Love Story, an autobiographical account of how I started over in Sin City after a mid-life divorce, threaded with reflections on the relationship that led me here. You can read excerts on www.vegaslindalou.com.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Ricky Gervais and Larry David and anyone else who loves Ricky Gervais and Larry David. If you don't like them, I don't want to meet you. Seriously, we wouldn't get along. I might be nice to your face, but I would secretly wonder what's wrong with you.
I would love to have dinner with Steve Martin in a fancy restaurant with cloth napkins and a waiter who pulls your chair out for you. I would use my best table manners and pray no crap is caught in my teeth when I smile at his wittiness.
Of course, I'd love to meet Beverly D'Angelo, my celebrity girl-crush choice for the past ten years. (Really, is there anyone more beautiful and talented?)
I once thought I'd like to have a sit-down with Britney Spears' mother, but I take that back. Who am I to tell anyone anything?

New 20-day plan

Last month I posted a blog that documented the progress of my 28-day weight loss plan.  Or, I should say, lack of progress--I started the plan weighing 139 lbs. and weighed the same 28 days later...

The gift of a quiet morning

This weekend I have no obligations; my social calendar is blank and I have no writing deadlines to meet. Of course, there are always a million things that I could do, but for today and tomorrow, there...

28-day log blog

OK, as per last night's blog, I'm going to record my weight and the 20 minutes of exercise I do every day for the next 28 days.  (This should be like, "Who the hell really cares?" to you, but if...

Full frontal nudity...

...is nothing you'll ever see in this blog.  That's because I'm too f*ing fat.  Not really, not compared to a lot of people walking around out there, and certainly I look pretty good fo...

Turning the corner on stage fright

I just posted a blog on stage fright on my www.vegaslindalou.com site.  I've had a real problem with stage fright when I do stand-up--I'd love to hear your suggestions. (Sorry to send you to anot...

Maybe I should become a lesbian

My Aging Nymphs co-host, Deb Wilborn, and I have been having a blast with our little Internet radio show every Wednesday night.  A couple of weeks ago, we each revealed our top ten "doa...
