Russian art, oriental works, rock-n-roll of course, martial arts, photography, antiques, rare rock albums of the 60's and 70s, being an extra in the movies.
Pretty much anything related to rock-n-roll. Led Zeppelin comes to mind as being #1 (if you haven't figured it out yet by my sign-on name), but other cool bands are touring with them on MY world tour. Bands like The Beatles, Collective Soul, Bush, Disturbed, Godsmack, Jimi Hendrix, the Stones, Uncle Ted, Staind, etc., etc., etc....you get it?....EVERYTHING ROCK-N-ROLL!!
Well being one of the original big screen viewers of Star Wars: A New Hope....these films are the best visual effects I have seen in a while - for this time and going forward. I also gotta give credit to Peter Jackson and his phenomenal rendition of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. For the rest of you, there is a little known series of movies right out of my old stomping grounds, San Diego, by a well known director, named Cookie "Chainsaw" Randolph. His "The J-K Conspiracy" moved him into the limelight of the silver screen, but his newest project "The Trouble With Money", is a visual explosion. Be sure to check them both out - avail now on DVD @ www.101kgb.com. The proceeds from these movies, benefit San Diegans in need and is provided by the Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw Morning show. LYS guys!
The SciFi, Discovery, History, and TLC channels...anything to expand your mind beyond the boundaries of your living room is definitely something to praise about. In addition, there are also some specific series I tend to keep up with: X-Files, Heroes, Supernatural, Medium, Lost.....are you getting it all?
Not much of a reader, but recently I have slipped into the mysteries of the Mayans, Incas, and Egyptians. Anything with an edge or makes the reader really think that his/her life is just beginning. I personally recommend anything by Maurice Cotterell, such as, "The Mayan Prophecies" and "The Tutenkamun Prophecies" to name a couple. ENRICH THE MIND and BE OPEN TO THE UNUSUAL.
My Mom and Dad of course. If they can survive all of my antics, and philosophies, then they deserve to be recognized as HERO STATUS. In addition, the folks on Flight 93 who gave up their lives to show the world that there is a hero in all of us and NOT to be afraid of something that could change the world. I for one, realize that their effort to change the path of the future, was successful, because they thought of you and I and not of themselves. And last but not least, who doesn't have the Justice League or even an X-Man as some sort of hero in their heart. Sometimes you just have to be a kid!
