SONAR, "sound navigation ranging" or the spanish word for "to sound"
SONAR was started in 2005 by simon sigfridsson (me, that is) as a school assignment. The results of that assignment can be heard on "Alpine Views Across City Skylines" (demo//2005), including "Fast Travel", featured on this site. It was "re-released" in the spring 2006, featuring completely new mixes as a result of evolving knowledge in the art of mixing music. It also included two new tracks, "Alpine" (featured here) and "I love the summer evening sky".
As a one man band, SONAR rely on others when it comes to playing the drums, othervise, everything is played, programmed, recorded and mixed by the only member himself.
Music, for SONAR, is a way of expressing emotion, spirituality and love. Inspiration is most likely to come from the Psalms of David, musical influences, citylights at night, colourful skylines, friends of the band and life itself.
