Minister Lamar R. Cole was born in Baton Rouge, LA and raised in Huntsville, AL. His early childhood memories are of growing up in a spirit-filled Christian home. He loves the Lord and enjoys expressing his love through music. His parents knew he was gifted in music at the age of three when they noticed him tapping out a beat on a small drum-set he received for Christmas. Then, with very limited music lessons, he learned to play the drums, keyboard, piano, and the organ. His parents always nurtured his technical and God-given gifts in music. He has been ministering in music now for over twenty years.
Minister Cole is obviously very active in the ministry of music, but aside from this, he manages to spread the gospel all across the country to help build the kingdom of God with a special evangelistic boldness. Throughout his life, Minister Cole has been blessed to become a prolific teacher with an insightful pastoral heart. He has participated in many conferences throughout the nation as a special guest and guest speaker.
His membership is at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, where his father Rev. Leroy R. Cole has been the senior pastor for over twenty-five years. Minister Cole is a confessed Christian, a licensed and ordained minister, and a professional artist & vocalist in Christ.
As an artist & vocalist in Christ, Minister Cole toured with the The Williams Brothers along with various other contemporary groups and well-known recording artists. He was fortunate enough to have performed in venues all over the United States, from Southern California to New York and everywhere in between. In addition, his voice is heard on many of the songs, song by the group. He is a brilliant musician who represents an uncompromising gospel with poise, clarity, great effectiveness and integrity. His musical talent enables him to direct and also produce new artists.
Minister Cole is the father of two children, Demarious Cole and D'Alexandria Cole. His son Demarious is following in his dad's footsteps as a well renowned drummer and vocalist at the age of 16. His daughter D'Alexandria is also a gifted singer at the present age of 12.
