Buzz about her performances got back to Danny O'Flaherty (owner of O'Flaherty's Irish Channel Pub) and Katie was hired as a resident musician.Playing every Friday and Saturday in the French Quarter enabled Katie to develop her sound. Having to play a bulk of Celtic music, Katie incorporated artists such as Lucinda Willliams, Loretta Lynn, and Steve Earle seamlessly."KATIE SMITH is an exceptional singer and guitarist.
