Almost seven years after their first recorded track, KST is getting ready to drop the long awaited official album "Soldati Necunoscuti" (Unknown soldiers), early 2007. In these past seven years, the band went through numerous changes, Kombat - the only member remaining from the original line-up - working during this time with Cenzurah, Nextrick, DJ Borac, Aforic and Underman.
It looks like the year 2005 was a good one for KST: Maerry joined the group, along Kombat and Dj Faibox, and the trio started working on an official debut album. KST's live appereances generated a positive buzz among the Hip-hop community, as the group performed in numerous concerts all over Romania. KST has also taken part in memorable events, such as opening for Promoe (Looptroop) and Afu-Ra, a gig supporting the Romanian Language at the University of Bucharest and the Bucharest Summer Jam 06 festival.
KST won't stop here, as they eagerly await the new album do drop early 2007. They've worked for almost an year on the new L.P., who will feature talented local artists and an international collabo: Catalin (Coma), Piti (EMIL), Veritasaga, Rashid (CIA), Butch (Dagga), Ovidiu, Serafim (Funktastics), USM, DJ Undoo, DJ Skid, M105 (Ad Litteram), and French rapper Piloophaz.
DJ FaiboX: "I'm a 24 years dj, workin' as a store manager at a computer store. I've been djin' for almost four and a half years, and still countin'. The rest is just life."
Kombat: "Seven years of emcee'ing 'til now ... and the official debut album gonna be released in 2007. I'm an MC, a producer, and I also try to move things with our independent label, Hades Records. KST "Soldati necunoscuti" spring 2007. Stay tuned!!!"
Maerry: "I'm a student at The Academy of Economics in Bucharest, and an MC since 2000. My first rap group was called Subliminal, and I joined KST in the fall of 2005. Currently working on our first album, breathing for Hip Hop and also loving every minute on the stage."
