In the summer, I can spend hours laying outside looking up at the sky. My body close to the earth, my soul close to the moon. I can feel everything around me. The earth beneath my body, a hard cold comfort in the thought that it has been here longer than any of us, seen so many things, and is filled with so many memories and so much energy. The wind stirring around me, picking up the leaves, and dragging them through the grass and down my paved drive way. The scraping of the leaves on cement, making cold chills run down my spine. The fire in my soul burning so white hot as I lay out under the moon, letting my imagination run wild in my mind. The Watery dew clinging to the tips of the grass beneath me, dampening my clothes. The wind crying out in one single fluid motion. That feeling of being totally whole. I have a moon charm that I wear around my neck at all times. I've been wearing it for about three years and feel naked without it. I love the smell of a fresh cup of coffee and I'm always happiest with a book in my hand. The feel, look, and smell of a book is amazing. I love the look of a blank notebook. It makes me want to grab a new ink pen and fill it up with all my own thoughts and ideas. I want to make a difference in someone's life. Change it for the better. Show lonely people that love is possible and that there are people in the world that care. There are things I say, feel, want, need, see. Things I read about, write about, hear about, think about. All around me there are so many things that I want to put down onto paper. Make a work of such literary art that the tough guys reading it will be crying and those with soft hearts will be passionatly angry at a wrong in the world. Open their eyes so they can see. I want to write everyday for the rest of my life. That alone would make me happy. The past year was a hard one! I had to let go of a lot of people, make hard choices, learn tough lessons, and push myself. But I learned a lot and am hoping to make this new year, a good one. I have the most AMAZING people in my life. A guy that I love with all my heart and soul and loves me just as much in return. Jordan knows me better than anyone and he's there for me whenever I need him. He makes me smile without trying and the feeling I get when his arms are wrapped around me is the best in the world. I have an insanely amazing mom that will always love me no matter what and supports me through everything. And I have the worlds most amazing best friends. Two incredible girls that can make me laugh till I cry and will be by my side till the end. I can talk to them both for hours and still we have things to say. Kelly and Breanna make my world go 'round. And I have two incredible friends/ mentors/ guardian angels/ heroes, that make me laugh and feel loved. Linda and Terey watch out for me, love me, teach me, help me, motivate me, and are entertaining as hell! With these people in my life, I can make it through anything the world throws at me. As long as I have them, I will always be okay. They see me in ways other don't and their love is the only love I need. Even if others don't like me, they do. And it's because of them that I'm the person I am today. I am Ashley Renee and one day I'll be a bestseller and I'll change someone's world.
