About Me

We play a wide selection of high quality Music of African Origin (MAO) from Non-pseudo Neo-Soul, True Skools of Hip-Hop, Old & New Skool Reggae, Bruk-Beats, Afro-beat, some left-leaning head-nodding sh!t, Jazz and Soul classics and different tunes from the African Diaspora that we can get our hungry paws on.A genuine love for our music is what drives QueRhythmic. We play with a willingness to take and keep ownership of what is ours and to discard the bullsh!t. There are some heavy artists out there who need support. We aim to play our part in pushing them to the hearts and minds of the real music-loving Diaspora.WHO'S DJ Rhythmic? In Short.....A Former Host of an Virgin stores radio show, it may seem like the obvioius choice to indulge an interest in music by becoming a dj, but not everyone can be a dj so it kudos must be given when after a prolonged hiatus Rhythmic chose to come back to the art he knew and loved best. Blending an encyclaepedic knowledge of afrikan inspired and world music with a keen sense of listener anticipation, Rhythmic has created a guaranteed crowd pleasing style of djing that ensures a good time is had by all whilst always serving up something new and unique.Having compounded his return to the scene by joining forces with Unified, Rhythmic is now a collaborator in the QueRhythmic sound system.WHO’S DJ UNIFIED?Unfied began his deejay schooling by fashioning primitive mix-tapes (using the Pause button) when he was 10 years old. He graduated to learning to mix and blend the hard way, by connecting two old turntables to an amplifier and practicing without headphones!Cutting his teeth in Hackney house-parties (shebeens/shoobs) with his then deejay partner under the name of Contagious Entertainment. This was an indispensable experience. Contagious then moved on to playing in the Black mainstream music club scene. For eight years they played in what was to change from Black into ‘Urban’ events in clubs like Soul Café (and then Propaganda), Chocolate Bar, Capital Club, Limelights, Rock Garden, Cameos, Caesars to running their own night at Bar Fink (Camden).Through growing tired of spinning wack, tracks to uninspiring crowds, Unified left Contagious and the Urban music scene and started over. He turned back to what got him into deejaying in the first place - a love for music.By starting to genre-blend with tracks old and new that he had a passion for, Unified moved into the alternative Black music scene. Working with other deejays like Devast8 from Crates, Generika Hi-Fi Sound System, Phil (Boundless), Rapscallion (Blacktronica), Camo (We are), Amplified, Phoenix Black, Ross Allen, shortMAN, Jacob Sam La Rose and other one-off gigs, he developed his sound into something fresh and live.2005 saw Unified link up with Kobina aka Que? (Amplified) to give birth to’ The Experiment’ in Central London’s Bar-B-Lo. With Que? leaving after a year, Unified continued to run ‘The Experiment’ with DJ Foundation changing it to ‘QueRhythmic’. Blurring an eclectic mix of old Soul/funk rhythms, All Skool Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul, Afro-Beat, Reggae, African-fused beats, Rare Groove and Mash-ups, Unified and Foundation’s sets are known to keep the crowd banging while introducing new things.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Others who like Black music raw and polished, smooth and rough but mostly undiluted and pure. Can't deal with the pretentious Lost Ones who have no interest in the beauty of music.
