I was born and raised in West Philadelphia. and I spent most of my, misguided, youth out side my alma matter in the recreational courtyard.
As often as I could, I'd wile away the hours, relaxing in the cool breeze and sunshine there, and From time to time My friends and I would play boccie ball on the lawn.
on one of these occasions, a band of troubled hooligans, with little else to do in the economically challenged area, began terrorizing my small slice of heaven. When it got to a point I could no longer take, I took part in a slight fisticuff with them, the thought of which frightened my mother so. She took it upon her to keep me safe, and bravely sent me off to become the new ward of my wealthy Aunt and Uncle, who live in Bel Air.
I begged her to stay, Pleaded with her, and tried to asauge her fears, but to no avail. My suitcases packed, and my travels accomidated for, I acceded to her wishes, and, with some last comforts of home, (including my most calming music) and a last kiss from my mother, I thought I would try and make the best out of this new situation.
My tickets, much to my surprise, were for first class accommodations. I drank out of the finest crystal, and discovered luxury I had never known."is this the life my aunt and uncle live, out in Bel Air?" I wondered to myself, and sitting back with a relaxed sigh (for the first time since the fracas) I began to adjust to my new life.
I called for a cab, and when It came near to me, I noticed that the license read "Fresh" and also that a pair of dice hung from the rear view mirror. I found this cab most, unique, and unsettling, but being new to the area (and unaware of practices and customs) I preserviered and said to the driver "Good Sir! to Bel-Air!"
I pulled up to My Aunt and Uncles house between the hours of Seven and Eight, and said to the Driver, "Thank you. That was quite an interesting smell." I then looked around my new Kingdom. Yes, I was finally here, and able to sit on my throne, and crown myself the Prince of Bel-air.
