About Me

One of Australia’s top Irish bands collaborates with award-winning singer Jenny Fitzgibbon to present traditional Irish music at its best – full of vitality, lilting rhythms and lyrical melodies. Tulca mor share their enthusiasm and enjoyment of Irish music presenting a delightful union of traditional song and hopping tunes.
The Band is a folk festival regular having performed at:
Woodford Folk Festival (1998-2005) National Celtic Festival (1999, 2003-2005) World Music Café Concert Series (2005, 2002) Maldon Folk Festival (2005, 2002) National Folk Festival (2006, 2000, 1998) The Illawarra Folk Festival (2004, 2000) The Port Fairy Folk Festival (2006, 2005, 1999) The Queensland Multicultural Festival (2005, 2004) The Kapunda Celtic Music Festival (2005).

Although Tulca mór are somewhat humble in their ambitions, ‘to sell 1000 CDs, record again and have some good gigs’, the growing demand for their genuine, high energy music and their reputation as one of Australia’s premier Celtic bands is keeping them very busy.
