Elliot Castro

Elliot Castro started DJing in his brother's bedroom in 2003 on belt driven turntables straight from the 1970's. By the time he had moved to Belfast in early 2004, he had developed something of a knack for the wheels of steel, and was occasionally asked to play at top Belfast venues such as Thompsons and Milk.Returning to Glasgow in 2006, he attended an open decks night, and was approached to become a resident at the Soundhaus's underground house and techno night The Basement, which is a residency he still holds today.In March 2007, he started the night Diversion with mates Hamish and Chris at Glasgow's Classic Grand. The night's full on party atmosphere and attitude free went on to be a great success, playing host to some top international DJ's including Tim Deluxe, Dirty South and Mark Knight. As a result of the success of the night, he was asked to do the X-Mix on XFM Scotland in December 2007 . He was also named one of Scotlands top three up and coming DJs by the Daily Record's clubs pages in March 2008.In summer 2008, he was asked to play for Liverpool's Garlands at world famous club Eden in Ibiza, as well as a number of other cool parties on the island. He will be returning there in 2009.His unique style of music encompasses a wide variety of electronic music. His collection includes a top choice of new and classic tunes, some you'll know and some you might not. House and Electro feature mainly, with a mixture of captivating melodies and uplifting vocals, which, coupled with his passion and energy behind the decks add an atmosphere all of their own to the dance floor.Myspace Layout Stealer
