About Me
Jackson Eli is a country/rock/blues artist with 15 years experience playing guitar. Jackson studied guitar at the world renowned school of music, the University of North Texas. He grew anxious in the music program there and wanted to upgrade his skills, so he began studying with the living legend, Roger Boykin. After Boykin, it was Clint Strong, Slim Richey, and then Redd Volkaert. By the time Jackson was studing with Redd, he was living in the music capital of the world, Austin, TX.He graced the stage with many popular Austin musicians including- Dale Watson, Rusty Weir, Chadd Thomas and the Crazy Kings, Rosie Flores, Uncle John Turner, the Asylum Street Spankers, WT Special, ZAPATA, Eric Tessmer Band, Gary Clark Jr., Nick Curran, Dave Biller, and Seth Walker, to name a few. He recorded his second album at the famous Horton Brothers Studio. Now he currently resides in Dallas, TX, fronting his own band, teaching guitar, playing on many artists' albums, and touring around Texas with different bands. Stay tuned, there is more to come!!
