I am here for Networking

About Me

I am a versatile, reliable author, editor, journalist and ghostwriter who specializes in pop culture, entertainment and media. I've had six books published, including including two on the television career of James Garner: Maverick: Legend of the West , a history of Garner's classic Western from the 1950s, and Thirty Years of The Rockford Files , a behind-the-scenes look at Jim's other landmark series, The Rockford Files. I am also co-host, along with Frankie Montiforte, of TV Confidential , a bi-weekly radio program that takes listeners behind the scenes of all aspects of television.
In addition, I work with publishers, agents, authors, and experts from many fields as a ghostwriter, book doctor, collaborator andeditor . While pop culture is my forte as a solo writer, I cover a wide range of genres as a collaborator, including memoirs, biography, history, politics, business, leadership and achievement, investigative journalism, self-help and personal growth. My previous collaborations include VOICE OF REASON by National Radio Hall of Fame nominee Ronn Owens; THE ETHICS OF STAR TREK , an engaging blend of pop culture, classic philosophy, and Star Trek ideology that I co-authored with Indiana State University professor Judith Barad; and KEEP ON KEEPING ON , a memoir that I co-wrote with Jean Davis. In addition, my work appears in such titles as the New York Times best-selling anthology CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE WRITER's SOUL , as well as other publications and media venues throughout the U.S., U.K. and Canada.   I've also appeared as a speaker and panelist on topics related to writing and publishing, including presentations before the Bay Area Editors Forum , American River College , and Northern California Writers and Artists.
I am a regular guest on The Ronn Owens Program (Northern California's No. 1-rated radio show), where I am known as "Doctor Rerun," and have also appeared on nearly 200 radio and TV programs as an expert on television, including E! News Daily, CNN Showbiz Today, BBC Radio , Voice of America Radio and Entertainment Tonight. In addition, I have consulted on and provided onscreen commentary for several TV documentaries, including ”Hollywood Maverick,” an hour-long profile of James Garner that airs regularly on the Biography Channel; "Who Shot J.R.: The Dallas Phenomenon," a 30-minute feature produced by Warner Bros. exclusively for Dallas: The Complete Third Season DVD Collection , and "Time's Up," a segment on ageism in Hollywood, produced by E! Entertainment Television for The High Price of Fame.
