Influences: I'm a true hip hop and R&B head more than any thing but I've been influenced by a wide array of music, musicans, and people. I'm heavy into lyrics and substance, unfortunately that's a lost art in today's "popular" music!! The more I grow in my craft and in age the more I'm realizing the importance of knowing the history and pioneers of what I do. A few of my favorite artist and people who have influenced me at some part of my life are: Jay-z (favorite rapper), Eric Roberson (favorite soul singer currently....amazing song writter) Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Mint Condition, The Winans, Commissioned, Take 6, Hawkins Family, Jill, Scott, Musiq, Kindred, Tribe Called Quest, Big Daddy Kane, EPMD, Run DMC, Public Enemy, MC Lyte, De La Soul, Mos Def, Rakim, KRS 1, Common, Biggie, Nas, Ghostface, Wu-Tang Clan, Redman, Roy Hargrove, Marcus Miller, Vital Information, Paulinho da Costa, Mongo Santamaria, Sheila E, ?Love, Dennis Chambers, Aaron Williams, Dre & Vi, Brain Mincer (first drummer I ever looked up too as a child), Calvin Carr, Paul "Ting" Burke, Raymond Burnett, Barbara Burnett, Louise Flemming, Mary J Blige, The Roots, 80's music, 90's hip hop, timeless Soul music, Philly musicans and people in general doin they thing....I ain't a hater!!
