Check Out This Cool Band SLOWDEATHZyklon B began in early 1986 with Brian East of Savage Grace, Israel Lee, Brian Kerney and Mike Livingston, just a few friends getting together to play punk music for fun.
The Lineup went through a few member changes before calling it quits that same year.Israel Lee wanted to reform the band sometime in 1988 and with the help of Danny (Chebornik)Williams and Dean (Traction) Jackson the Mighty Zyklon B began writing songs and playing shows before they decided to record what was the first and only studio recordings.
The band recorded 9 songs but because of other circumstances, only released five songs on the demo.
ZYKLON B DemoZyklon B began playing shows and grew into one of the most unusual and explosive bands to play live and with the humorous lyrics and different time changes the band had a very different sound from other punk rock bands. The Zyklon House was a major hangout for many artists on tour and parties went on all throughout the yearsPerforming with soon to be major acts such as The Offspring, Bad Religion and many others Zyklon's fan base grew to almost unbelievable proportions.Zyklon B began touring without any major help or support and sold merchandise for gas and food over the years selling out clubs and supporting acts all over the USA.The band performed live on KXLU radio in December of 1991 and was recorded for a unreleased live Cd. The band began to get larger shows and was on the brink of making a huge impact on the Punk Rock Scene and got interest from several major record labels and once again was back in the spotlight.Danny Williams was also becoming a celebrity on his own and was casted in several major motion pictures. He was offered positions playing in other up and coming punk bands but wanted to stay true to his friends and Zyklon B.
El Duche - R.I.P.In the beginning of 1992 the band was on hold as Danny Williams began touring again with Major acts like Iron Maiden, Slayer, Motorhead, Ziggy Marley and many other artists bringing Israel Lee in for some touring work. Israel did not work out and was forced to stay home for the other tours that Danny was doing that year.
Danny has been in the music business since 1981 and was one of the original roadies for early Thrash Metal Bands like Savage Grace, Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus and Dark Angel to name a few and his career took off as he was working nonstop.Traction Jackson was working as a head chef at the Malibu Chart House and had a little baby girl with his girlfriend and wanted to have a stable home life with his girlfriend and child so the band was once again taking a break.Sometime in 1992, Danny Williams moved out of the Zyklon house and went back on tour for several months. He still played several shows with the band but as the writing went sour from Danny not having time and being one of the songwriters and manager the band disbanded.
The other two members tried to make a go of the band once more but with the absence of founding member Danny Williams, they did not have the same appeal to the masses and no contacts and was soon without shows or fan support and broke up for goodZYKLON B had a bootleg record released in Europe in early 1990's and when Danny Williams saw this while on tour and saw that the band was being labeled a Nazi band he done some mag interviews and clarified the situation and set the record straight. He made a decision to try and put out all the material from all the recordings he acquired since the beginning but to no avail.Fast Forward to 2006...Danny Williams has been pretty successful in the music business. He was a member of up until 2004 the Thrash Metal Legends, Dark Angel and recorded Creeping Death for The Metallic Attack Cd that won a Grammy in 2004 for best metal album. DFA was in the process of recording a much awaited album up until the singer was injured and forced to retire from his injuries in 2004 and the project was put on the shelve and Dark Fucking Angel was no more again.
Danny has also been in several successful Punk bands over the years including Dont No, Glue Gun, Rash, Inhale and Savage Tree Frogs and continues to record and perform live to this day.He was also in a project with Tamitha his ex wife since 1995, they were a very successful band and sold over 100,000 albums, the band was called Grumbletummy.
With the new found know how to produce pop commercial albums and touring around the world they have a better understanding on what it takes to make a hit album.
The new project was to be called Spirality and the band was is in the process of finishing their much awaited CD that is entitled "All Tribes"
The CD is still in the mixing stages and no release date is set.Danny co-owned and operated Dreamcatcher Music Company , a multi-media recording, mastering and Graphic arts studio and was located in Winnetka CA and was in business successfully for over ten years and have worked with artists from Century Media to Warner Bros...ZyKlon B has been in the eyes and ears of the Punk scene since 1992.The band has grown to mythical status and Danny Williams has been offered several deals to re-release the original Zyklon B recordings.
Danny Williams is in the process of remixing and mastering the recordings and will be including some live stuff from the KXLU session and will be releasing all the material that the band has from 1988 - 1991.
The Revenge of ZyKlon B will be released sometime in the near future with a few songs that no one has heard and some special features so stay tuned for this spectacular event.
