Ex Cornishman, used to work for English China Clay, (St Austell) , moved to the Gold Coast and now living in Sydney. I have been in Australia since '82.
Heavily involved with surfing in years gone by (started in Cornwall), judging, coaching, training, Pros etc. competed myself at International. National, State and Club level etc, won some, lost some!
I now work as a Personal Trainer and have coached/trained many people including Olympians, World Champs, athletes, musicians. Generally now, everyday people, company execs, housewives etc.
I play drums in a Rock/Blues/Funk band, THE BLUES RAIDERS, and collect vintage Ludwig or George Hayman drums, want to sell any?
Occasionally work as a stage/road manager/drum tech for Ian Moss.
I was lucky to have grown up in England, as a teen in the late 60's and 70's, going to see lots of live bands, such as Trapeze, Budgie, my dear late friend- Big Al Hodge, Stray, SNAFU, No Dice, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zep, etc. I also did security at Concerts and Festivals. Although surfing took over my life for many years (and some female influences....), music was always a real passion. It was only natural, that in later life, I started to play the drums (as I had wanted to as a teen, but turned to sport instead). Keep it LIVE an' keep it ROCKIN'!
Lecture in customer service, including Billy Hyde's Drumcraft and do some MC work for them.
