A Self taught vocalist, Candice Burke ( aka: Candy ) began her interest in music at the age of 6. Under the direction of Betty Lou Beatty and Dayna Laturnus, she finished her piano through the conservatory of Canada and began teaching music at the age of 14.
In 1996, a local high school rock band "C.P. Express" caught Candy's attention, and she decided to audition as a vocalist. Landing a spot in the prestigious group allowed her to build the strength and determination it took to be a lead vocalist. She ventured off in many directions musically, and was a part of many honor choirs, a "No Doubt" tribute act, and the touring show group "Pride of Manitoba".
After graduating in 2000, Candy began her own rock group "Slick Candy". After a very exciting 4 years of touring at various bars and rock festivals across Canada, they eventually disbanded in 2004. Living in Vernon, B.C, Candy is currently working on her own material, which she hopes to release independently in early 2008.
