-BCKD-
Since 2005 Bullets Can't Kill Danny has been showcasing the bay area with their high energy rock. With influences including grunge, punk rock, indie, and folk, BCKD is the product of the band's need to create a sound entirely original.
After a number of years as a part of the east bay hardcore scene, Skyler began experimenting with a new sound that led him in the direction of forming the power trio. After playing numerous shows in many venues, Sky’s project “Ansley†separated. Almost immediately after, Skyler Kilborn (guitarist), Hadley Davis (bass) and B.J. Jenkins (formerly drums) formed “Bullets Can’t Kill Danny.â€
During the three years to follow the band lived in the studio refining and solidifying a style, and composed a large archive of material. With an in your face vocal style full of catchy melodies, raw emotional riffs, and a percussive nuance that altogether forms a captivating bigness, it’s hard to believe their age.
“When we write songs they always have an underlying message for the listener, but we make sure to never shove it in the their face." The new record 'The War to Come' as a whole is a display of the depth of storytelling in Skyler's lyrics, as well as an exposition individually of personal inner struggles within each song. "We try really hard to not try really hard when writing songs, instead we focus on conveying a meaning and feeling within each song."
Whether it’s their intense stage show or perfection in the studio, BCKD continues to refine and improve their style. The current lineup of Skyler Kilborn on lead vocals, and guitars, Hadley Davis on Bass, effects, and backing vocals, Egan Kolb on guitar and backing vocals, and Logan Grimé on drums and percussion, is pushing forward with the new release. The debut record “The War To Come†is certainly starting a buzz.
To the boys in the ground, and the ones who survived.

But after about the the third verses I was bobbing my head to it and tapping my feet. The drums were simple yet effective and kept you going throughout the song. When the song broke down and verged on the edge of true rock I nearly had to pinch myself to believe this is an unsigned band. It just clicked on so many levels the harmonica the drums. I can't wait to see what else this band has to offer."
- DreamNightmare-Laurel, Mississippi "I wanted to tell you I really like your new band. Its really cool. I honestly don't think I like ANY local bands anymore, so hearing your new band is a breath of fresh air."
-Peter from Pleasanton CA "well every other band has been a copy of a grunge want to be. at least there is a band out there who is from the heart agin.. " - John Allen "you aint nothin but a bunch of bitches" "Folk rock? more like folk shit. you guys suck, go kill yourself"
