Old Time Rocker

Old but still groovy... and really tired, too.

About Me

Have you signed my guest book? If not, please check it out below - it's the old fashioned TV graphic. Just click "Add me!" and follow the directions.
When you get a chance, please visit my Ye Olde Title Maker website, and give yourself an absolutely silly title and name. I made it for young & old kids alike. What can I say? I'm easily amused by such things! If you try it, let me know what you think in my comments.
I am Baron Ron IckyHead the HairballPetter !
OK, now on to stuff about ME...
When I first created this MySpace page, I only did it to comment on Matt's blog, because he was posting this story that we co-wrote for fun with our other friend, Kieron. This little page, though, is quickly becoming much more, so I feel that I add should add better quality content.
I love my wife, Sherry. She & I were married in 2000, and she is the reason while I'm still here today. She's my best friend, confidant, and she loves me in spite of all of my downfalls (trust me, there's many of them).
I love my kids - Amanda (Mandarin), Joshua, Jason and his girlfriend, Melissa. I call them kids (probably always will), but they're all grown-up adults. We spend as much time as possible together, and Sherry & I love taking them on vacations with us when we can. Our trip to Hilton Head together was a blast!
I love my parents, grandparents & in-laws. Family's really important to me, and Sherry & I believe that we should take care of our parents in our healthy years, since they did the same for us when we were young, troublemaking, cash-flow impeding brats ;)
What do I like to do? I love to travel with Sherry. We try to go to someplace new & fun each year. I love playing PC Games (my tastes change weekly, it seems), and I love playing acoustic guitar. I also enjoy playing Magic: The Gathering with my buddy, Greg, although we've not played in a while. MTG is a collectible card game that is actually very fun to play.
A newfound passion of mine is Toastmasters International. My company created a club in 2006, "The Bridgestone Babblers." I joined as a charter member and I'm loving every minute of it. Toastmasters is an organization dedicated to helping improve your public speaking skills - I've found it very rewarding. You can check out our club's site here: Bridgestone Babblers .
I grew up in a non-denominational, Christian environment, so that is a very important foundation for who I am as an adult. I confess, though, that as an adult I am not as active in Church-related activities as I was when I was younger. I love Christian-Rock, though - some of my favorite bands are Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Ten Shekel Shirt & Satellite Soul, just to name a few.
I have 2 dogs that my wife & I treat as if they were our own kids - they're definitely spoiled. They're names are Buddy & Go-Go, and they are Toy Fox Terriers. Check out their very own Slideshow below!
So what's the FF55 banner above all about? FF55 stands for Fox Force 55, and it's my "Super Group" from the MMORPG game, City of Heroes. The name Old Time Rocker is the name of the Super Hero that I created for the game. He's the big guy on the left-hand side of the banner. That's also his mug in the background of my contacts section.
One last thing: I love to drink coffee. Starbucks Verona, to be exact. Black, No Room for Cream, please. :)

My Interests

Wasting my life away in front of my PC (except when I'm at dinner with my wife.) Oh, and I also enjoy waiting for my dog, Go-Go, to finally decide where she is going to take a dump when it's sleeting & 29 degrees outside.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet my wife for dinner. Tonight. At the Olive Garden, if the wait isn't too long

It's the Go-Go & Buddy Slideshow!
Just dropping by? Sign my guestbook!

What Your Soul Really Looks Like

You are very passionate and quite temperamental. While you can be moody, you always crave comfort.

You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds.

You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.

Your near future is calm, relaxing, and pretty much what you want. And it's something you've been anticipating for a while now.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust.

Inside the Room of Your Soul

Music:

Here Come the Mummies, John Mayer, Norah Jones, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Anugama, Chris Spheeris, Kohala, Lisa Lynne, Andreas Vollenveider...

Movies:

I'm a stereotypical male: lots of action, things blowing up, and one bad-ass protagonist will do it for me. Can I be more shallow?

Television:

The new series "Heroes" is the only TV I watch with regularity.

Books:

(Admittedly, these are authors, not books. So sue me.) Jeffrey Deaver, Dean Koontz, John Grisham, Patricia Cornwell, Margaret Weiss, Tracy Hickman, RA Salvatore, Raymond Fiest...

Heroes:

It's a great show - watch it!.

Young Frankenstein
I'll take the one in the turban...

Blazing Saddles
Never tell Mongo where he can't park...

Weird Al-ish

Yeah, Weird Al-ish. There's no other word that could possibly describe my mood today. It's true.  It's one of the days where nothing other than a Weird Al song will do.  It doesn't matter wh...

Ahhh, all better

First off, my profile has been healed. The demon that possessed my profile page existed in the form of an unneeded, closing table-tag in my HTML.  After exorcising said tag, the page looks ...

OK, I'm a moron

I'm frustrated. My Grumpy Bear icon precisely describes how I feel.  If you notice on my profile page, he's been pushed down a few notches, and I can't fix it. Grumpy Bear is basically stati...

It's a Rock and Roll day

But isn't every day a rock & roll day?  Today I had the hankerin' (that's a word where I live) to listen to some good ol' Van Halen, ala David Lee Roth.  Their first album, to be exact. ...
