Peter Kerns aka Johnny Flash aka Don Pedro saw the light of day in Hamburg on March 5th in the beginning of the oh-so-flashy 80s
At the age of 16 he ruined himself on his first pair of technics and has been rising up to the heights of his today’s masterful mixing technique ever since. After spending a wild night out in Hamburg’s legendary Unit III club with his party mate Sven Hoek , on a sudden impulse he knew that his mission from now on was to bring his own music productions out to the crowd. Peter Kerns and Sven Hoek started off messing around with their old-school solid techno sounds and studio equipment during nightly sessions in their childhood bedrooms.
This is how their first Mono Meltdown releases on Superstition rec. came to the surface. (Pegelfest / Monotheism / Analogue Past). Many more Peter Kerns solo and collaborate works (with DJ doorkeeper, DJ Holgi Star, DJ Dave Shokh, stereo jack amongst others) were to follow on various labels: Superstition rec./Hamburg, Confused rec./Bremen, Bash rec./Berlin, Kiddaz.fm rec./Berlin, Playmate music/Berlin, Sonntag rec./Berlin (® see discography).
However, never giving up his true passion for spinning, he carried on moving the crowds as DJ and LiveAct performer all along, paying visits to techno venues as Phonodrome/Hamburg, Schlachthof/Dresden, ZK/Halle, Matrix/Berlin, Tacheles/Berlin, Tresor/Berlin, Arena/Berlin, Casino/Berlin, U 60311/Frankfurt, ZoomClub/Nuremberg, Rakete/Nuremberg and at the German mega-festivals Nature One and Liberty One.
Apart from producing and performing in his own right, Peter Kerns is part of the electro project "davide&pedro" (formerly known as "THA DONS") AND "BONUS MODUS" with dj doorkeeper
