About Me

A moody, violent take on modern Film Noir meets Twilight Zone. Unpunished is currently in final stages post production as of 3/09. ____________________________________________________________ ______"Unpunished" is a movie currently in postproduction, with the style leaning towards film noir. It begins on an ordinary summer day for artist John but steadily escalates into a gritty violent moody darkness as it progresses to it's ultraviolent climax. All of the scenes are being shot in Syracuse, Skaneateles, and upstate New York. The movie is shot in black and white and digital format. The story is about an artist living alone, who turned in a "friend" who bragged about killing a kid during a store robbery. The man is released 23 years later and seeks revenge via a home invasion. There's a twist to the story. ____________________________________________________________ ________ I have been writing, shooting, editing this since Sept.2006. _ HOLD CURSOR OVER THE PHOTO FOR CAPTION ____________________________________________________________ _______Music for some scenes has been provided by the fantastic band "The Moon Rays". Cool Spy Noir Monster Instrumentals. The NJ based "Electric frankenstein" will be featured as well. Sal and the gang are a band to be reckoned with. Local talent "Gregg Yeti & The Best Lights" do the closing song. Check 'em all out here on myspace. ____________________________________________________________ ________The script, story, shooting, additional music compositions, editing, sound and direction are done by visual artist Elliott Mattice, and is his first foray into moviemaking in this capacity."Besides Super 8 movies I made for fun as a youth, I have acted in several student films at Syracuse university, a few independent projects locally and as an unpaid extra in the movie "Freak Talks About Sex" shown on HBO. His designs are licensed for product across the globe and his art is avidly collected and commissioned by retro afficianados.
