About Me

Born and bred in Dublin, Eire. Moved here almost a year ago. Having the time of my life! Love the diversity, love the excitement, love the people I meet. It's different, a mini adventure. My husband and twelve kids miss me but I really dont care, I need to live my life and take the shackles off my feet so I can dance.

My Interests

Dinner with my friends, drinks with my friends, music, going to gigs, painting, cocktails, tequila, coffee, cigarettes and alcohol, days/nights at the beach in every season, cooking, reading, walking around the city at night, drinking, theatre, my herbal remedy, catching up with friends who are so far away, cinema, rainy days spent under my duvet, fun times and laughing (I know what your gonna say Ms. Begley...how gayyyyyyy hahahaha). Well maybe I am. Deal with it. Build a bridge and get over it.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Kings of Leon, Kings of Leon, Kings of Leon! I LOVE (fo real) David Bowie (he told me he loves me too), The Raconteurs, Arcade Fire, Beatles, Modest Mouse, The Doors, The Clash,The White Stripes, The Strokes, Led Zeppelin, Snow Patrol, Beck, Chilli Peppers, Razorlight, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Blur, Pearl Jam, Blondie, Jimi Hendrix, Jack Johnson, Gorillaz, Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, The Hives, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Nina Simone, Alicia Keyes, Republic of Loose, Foo Fighters, The Magic Numbers, Johny Cash, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Arctic Monkeys, Wolfmother, Queen, Elton John, Placebo, Sade, Scissor Sistors, The Ramones, Radiohead, Bjork, that song by Bruce Springsteen (you know the one), Damien Rice, there are more but......Paul Cataldo (of course, and Paul, why wouldn't I love you? ur the SHITE!!!!!!!!) my old friends from the sweet isle of Eire - PICTUREHOUSE (yay), DAVE BROWNE who is the best singer/songwriter in the world....well, that's what he says, The Stand, The Rosewood Thieves (but you know I love you, I dont need to tell you). Album Leaf, Cat Power, Kings of Leon and Morning Jacket are what I'm all about lately. Just cant stop listening. Addiction is a terrible thing.

Movies:

Labyrinth, Sin City, The Departed, Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs, The Shining, Wolf Creek, Raging Bull, My Little Eye, Final Cut (not the new film of the same name), Pan's Labyrinth, Little Children, Eternal Sunshine,The Goonies, The Notebook, Taxi Driver, Brokeback Mountain, Pulp Fiction (come to think of it anything Quentin Tarantino writes or directs), The Burbs', Drop Dead Fred, most gangster movies, Shallow Grave, True Romance, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Requiem for a Dream, Borat, Madagascar, Lord of War, Cape Fear, Dangerous Liasons, Night Shift, Heart, Millions, really like horror films also.

Television:

I dont watch much tv BUT Family Guy, Simpsons, Lost, Dexter, Nick cartoons such as Cat Dog and Ren & Stimpy, Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Name is Earl, The Office. Anthing that gives me the giggles. Usually I wait for the box sets and then watch them for hours back to back. Currently in possession of an Entourage box set. I miss Ab Fab, The Johnathan Ross Show, Bottom, The Young Ones, Eastenders and Coronation St - anyone from Ireland or England will understand.

Books:

Crime & Punishment (Dostoyevski) was the most moving book I've ever read, I had to read it again straight after I had finished. Dean Koontz because his books are sometimes the most f*cked up shit you'll ever read. Most of Irvine Welsh's stuff eg Filth, The Marobou Stork Nightmares, Trainspotting, Porno. The Vampire Lestat, Interview with a Vampire, Queen of the Damned, (Anne Rice), Post Secret, anything by Stephen King, the Bronte sisters, I like Auto/Biographies the best. Currently reading Rotten - John Lydon, the first page reads "no Irish, no blacks, no dogs" you have to love it! Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. My promise to myself is to read more and drink less. Whatever happened to staying in with a good book?

Heroes:

My Mammy, tear! Oh and also my brother who makes me laugh like no-one else, chases away wankers and looks after me so well. Oh, and did I mention my mam? And my brother? I dont think I did. Maybe I should.
