SO MANY! The Godfather 1 & 2, Rocky 3 & 4, A Bronx Tale, The Color Purple, Philadelphia, What's Love Got To Do With It and Shawshank Redemption are at the top. Memoirs of a Geisha is a new favorite.
Television:
True Blood, CBS Reality TV - Big Brother, Survivor and The Amazing Race, Nip/Tuck(first 3 seasons only),70s sitcom re-runs(Sanford & Son, Good Times, What's Happening)and anything on The Food Network or HGTV.
Books:
Murder Mysteries, Legal and Medical Thrillers which means
anything written by John Grisham, Sue Grafton, Mary Higgins Clark and Robin Cook.
Black women authors: Terry McMillan, Gloria Naylor, J. California Cooper(amazing short stories), Maya Angelou and the list goes on...
Heroes:
*Paul Hewson aka Bono, U2 Lead Singer and a great humanitarian! His efforts to eradicate poverty, disease and hunger along with his tireless campaigning for richer nations to relieve the debts of Third World Countries is very admirable.
