About Me

+++ THE BETTER LIFE +++ is an Egyptian Christian (COPTIC) Music Group that presents its ministry in Arabic. Because we want to tell the people that Jesus came so that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it ABUNDANTLY +++ An Abundant (Better) Life +++The word +++ COPT +++ is an English word taken from the Arabic word Gibt or Gypt. The Arabs after their conquest of Egypt in 641 A.D. called the indigenous population of Egypt as Gypt from the Greek word Egyptos or Egypt. The Greek word Egyptos came from the ancient Egyptian words Ha-Ka-Ptah or the house or temple of the spirit of God Ptah, one of the major ancient Egyptian Gods. The word Copt or Coptic simply means Egyptian, however the Muslim population of Egypt calls themselves Arabs. In contemporary usage, the word Copt or Coptic refers to the Christian population of Egypt.+++ COPTS +++ Group within the Egyptian population considering being the true descendants of the Ancient Egyptians. This is accurate when the infusion of Nubians, Greeks, Jews and Romans in ancient times is overlooked. Christian beliefs distinguish the Copts, some of whom belong to the original Coptic Orthodox Church, others the Coptic Catholic Church, and a small group being Protestants +++ There are few, physical differences between Copts and current Arab Egyptians, in general, but Copts can be identified by their Christian names, by wearing a cross around their necks, or by having a cross tattooed on their right wrists (IN MEMORY OF JESUS BEING NAILED TO A CROSS) +++ While exact figures are difficult to determine, it is estimated that they comprise 6 million today, slightly less than 10% of the total Egyptian population. Cities with large Coptic communities are Cairo, Assyut and Alexandria. Some smaller towns and villages have a majority of Copts, and in a few all inhabitants are Copts.+++ THE COPTIC CROSS +++ The Coptic alphabet is variant of the Greek alphabet containing a number of extra letters which come from the Egyptian script. The Coptic alphabet came into being during the 1-3rd century BC after the Greek conquest of Egypt and the subsequent spread of the indigenous form of christianity (Coptic Orthodox Christianity). According to tradition, the apostle mark established in Egypt in the middle of the first century CE (approximately 60 AD). Coptic Crosses reflect a number of historic influences including Greek, Latin, Egyptian, and Celtic design elements.+++ PRAISE & PRAYER FOR SYRIA +++ (12/14/2005) The Syrian government called Christians at Syria for a special day of prayer to lift the country during this time of turbulence. The Better Life Team was honored to be invited to participate in the events of this day which were covered (live) by the Syrian national channel as well as the Syrian Satellite Channel! May God bless their country and answer the prayers that were lifted to him. + AMEN +..+++ FOR FREE +++ Yes…!!! "The Better Life" does not charge for the service. Better Life Members don't get paid for ministry. The Better Life is not supported by any organization.
