HERB DAILY/ DAILY PRODUCTIONS

Herb Daily, born 1976 in Härnösand in the north part of Sweden. At the age of two his father left the family and he moved with his mother to Uppsala. He grow up in H-stam wich is in the northern part of Uppsala. He started to play bass at the age of 15 and are still in love with the bass. "I remember when I first get hooked on reggae. It was when my father brought me down to the second biggest town in the country named Gothenburg and we went to a record store wich was selling out all their vinyls. I was buying some Black Uhuru records and nearly all Bob Marley releases for such a low price as €1 each. This was around 87 and this music was just hitting my heart." He started to build digital riddims in 1996 in his longtime bredrin Iyah One´s small studio setup. In 1998 he bought his first 8 channel real to real and a 16 channel mixingdesk. The studio has been up and down since then and are now seriously running again and with other equipment. In 2000 he moved to Amsterdam to work with King Shiloh Soundsystem as a boxlifter and was living there for six month. These months was a real high school in soundsystem education for him and come to get more and more interested in the sounsystem business. In 2003 he and three of his bredrins build a soundsystem in Uppsala named Lightning Strike Soundsystem. The crew of Lightning Strike is still there and new boxes are under construction. In mars 2005 he started up the the label Lionyouths Music with a 7inch release produced by Iyah One (Shiloh-Ites Music). Daily moved to the southern part of Sweden in may 2005 to Malmö. He´s now up in some projects and you will hear in the future what comes out of the studio.
