About Me

Carly first picked up a guitar when she was nine years old, performing since the age of 13. Carly’s unique and eclectic songwriting portfolio was influenced early-on by the sounds of Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor, and later by a convergence of diverse artists allowing her music to evolve, rendering her music difficult to categorise but creates exciting and thought-provoking listening.Carly’s band 'Captive’ developed an enthusiastic & loyal following playing her original work at the Sydney gig circuit, performing at popular & prestigious Sydney venues such as The Basement, the Sandringham Hotel, the Cat and Fiddle, the Excelsior, the Gaelic Club and the Commercial Hotel. Her talent soon came to the attention of mainstream artists with Carly supporting cult indie artist Iota in one of his sell-out gigs at the Sandringham hotel and "Captive" supporting acoustic trio "Dirty Lucy" as well as Ian Browne from classic Aussie band Cold Chisel. A recent arrival to the London music scene, Carly wasted no time & has performed to acclaim at renowned London venues such as the Half Moon, Cafe de Paris and the Troubadour - where she recently released her new EP 'Body Armour', a 6 song journey that excites & captures the imagination, demonstrating her extraordinary songwriting and performing talent.
