Blaque Lyte started performing in 2006, when they first captivated their audience at a show called "The Spot" at Eastern Nazarene College. Taking the energy they received from that show, the band began rehearsing, composing, and arranging much more intently. Their influences include artists such as Stevie Wonder, Corrine Bailey Rae, John Legend, John Mayer, and Jamie Cullum as well as bands like Lettuce, Soulive, RH Factor, and Mint Condition. It has been their mission, to find the common ground between showing their audiences what they want to hear, while exposing them to things they've never heard or seen before.
