Valentines Day Poem: They tell you the first time love doesn't last
but this time it's different, because he made you laugh
And you'd talk on for hours, fall asleep on the phone
if only your heart would have knownThat his sweet words would go astray
and that someday he'd look like a stranger
His chocolate would melt
like your heart, when you felt he was gone
And you spent valentine's aloneThey say love is better the second time around
and he's so understanding, you let your guard down
Til the first time he cheated and it opened old wounds
you wonder if you let go too soonAnd the flowers that he used to bring has died
just like the first guy that made you cry
No apologies
or admissions that he did you wrong
And you spend valentin's aloneTroubles and heartaches, you've had your share
and the only thing you ask for, is someone who cares
But when you least expect it, fate will step in
allowing that bruised heart to mendWith a ring inscribed, "Will you be my friend for life"
on a band with no beginning or end in sight
Your tears have all dried
as you fall asleep, secure in his arms
And you no longer spend valentine's alone~ plain layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments
