Fund raising event at Melbourne Civic Theatre for the “Women’s Centerâ€.
Melbourne Civic Theatre is so proud to announce it’s fund raising event/show with the “Women’s Centerâ€. Portions of each night’s performance will go to this awesome group of women advocates. How appropriate that MCT is doing “Talking Withâ€. A play written by Jane Martin that is a delightful set of emotional dramalogues. This play shows the in-depth attitude on various women’s topics. Simply speaking, this play is about the lessons that were learned by each of the women portrayed in the scenes. Each dramalogue has its own topic and each character must teach the lesson that she once learned.

About the “Woman’s Centerâ€
Since 1975, the “Woman’s Center†located in Brevard has worked everyday with women that come to them without the ability to provide for themselves and their families. These women often are abused and battered, homelessness and hunger, violated or sexual abused and looking for advocacy, guidance, and support. Thanks to their volunteers and loyal supporters who give so much of their time and resources the Women's Center is able to provide counseling services, financial assistance, career guidance, job training, transitional housing, and victim advocacy. The Center is proud to be able to help annually over 10,000 women and their children who seek out their assistance and we at Melbourne Civic Theatre are proud to be supporting them.Women's Center 1425 Aurora Road Melbourne, FL 32935 Ph: 321-242-3110 Fax: 321-242-7464 Contact: Pamela Paquette
More about the show. Each piece include such wide- ranging views as the gasping thoughts of a woman in her 23d hour of labor, a bag lady's fantasies, the ploys of an auditioning actress and the reflections of a rodeo rider. Some of them are funny, some sad but all of them a look into the reality of life.
