I am a retired command center, predictive analysis, and contingency planning engineer. In short, I was the one that made sure a New Orleans did not happen to my area, and if it did, made sure recovery went well regardless of what FEMA pulled.I was put into retirement after coming down with Parkinson’s. Fortunately, I was able to accomplish me childhood dreams, so I can not complain.To keep from going nuts, in the time where I am functional, I am secretary for the Democratic Party of Denver County Colorado. I volunteer as a consultant to the City of Denver and State of Colorado Emergency Management. I also volunteer helping out Beyond Earth, http://beyond-earth.com, and various civil rights groups. Finally and most importantly, I am a lay minister for the Church of God, General Conference, as we do not have a church in Colorado.The biggest challenge is trying to fit all of this into only about 4 hours of functional time a day. But, I feel blessed to still be able to contribute to society.
