AKA O.G. Bobby Jizzay

About Me

O.G. Bobby Johnson (1971-) is an artist & producer for the famed record label Nappy Chest Hair Productions. He to release his debut album The Gangsta & The Penguin...Vol. 1 in the Spring 2007.
EARLY LIFE
Born Robert Johnson to Robert Sr. & Alberta, O.G. was raised in the harsh streets of South Central, a suburb in southern Los Angeles. At an early age he became facinated by the street life. "When you're a youngster and you see all your friends doing it, you don't wanna be left out so I started getting in stuff I shouldn't have been getting in to."
PRISON
With his thuggish ways catching up with him, O.G. dropped out of high school and was kicked out his parent's home. He then resorted to armed robbery as means of survival. Then on June 23, 1987 his life took a turn for the worst. While breaking into one's home, O.G. was shot 24 times by the owner of the house. Not having a car, he tried to steal one before deciding to make the 11 mile trip to the hospital by bus. After being treated, police arrested O.G. and charged him with one count breaking & entering, one count attempted robbery, one count being a penguin after dark, and one count of being suspicious in a hospital. He was found guilty on all counts and was sentenced for no less than 500 years but no more than his natural life.
THE APPEAL & REDEMPTION
While in prison, O.G. befriended such prisoners as Tookie Williams & Tupac Shakur. He had become known in the pen as a model prisoner but he had been denied parole countless times. He had only one more parole hearing left or an appeal. If he tried to appeal he would lose that last parole hearing. The late Johnnie Cochran heard about O.G.'s case and decided to provide his services for free. After months of deliberation the jury found that the police had wrongfully searched O.G. and he was set free.
He vowed to leave his thuggish past behind him. "I had to leave the street life alone. It wasn't me, anymore. I decided to devote some of this energy into these youngsters so they can have a better chance than some of me and my homies did. "
NAPPY CHP
Once again O.G. had a hard time adjusting to the real world. After getting turned down by McDonald's, O.G. had to become a stripper to make ends meet. He started being tempted to go back to his old ways but he refused to go that route again.
O.G. went back to his first love of music and got his first break when his local single got played on the radio. While on tour, rapper The FUNKYFRESH heard the single and had this to say: "When I first hear "Poetic Penguin" on the radio, man... It was like hearing that classic rap record you love. His flow, his delivery was just.... DAMN! See, I can't even explain it because it was so raw but you could tell it was genuine. He's a real genuine fellow.
FUNKYFRESH brought him in and signed him to the Nappy CHP imprint. He was featured on the classic FUNKYFRESH release, Milk & Cookies and was instrumental in bringing about the truce between FUNKYFRESH and MC Wiggles.
FUTURE
Currently O.G. Bobby Johnson is working on his debut album and he is helping MC Wiggles put the finishing touches on his album as well. The whole Nappy Chest Hair Production crew plans to tour in the Summer 2007 to help promote both records. He also plans to start the O.G. Bobby Johnson Foundation for the study of police brutality on penguins. There is said to be a bio pic in the works with DL Hughley playing the role of O.G.
