Jay Tylen started his long trek through life growing up on a dairy farm in Northeast Iowa with his two older sisters. Within his heart, music was always of great importance. From a young age learned how to play the guitar and piano and would sing along with Country artists such as Merl Haggard, George Jones, and Buck Owens trying to imitate them. He can remember when his uncle Jim, a touring artists in those days, would come home from the road for the holidays and he'd sit around and sing along with his songs.
In the early 90's he began his life-long dream of touring and playing music with musician friends of his who always encouraged him to follow his dreams. He got to the opportunity to open up for acts such as Confederate Railroad, Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence, Patty Loveless, Doug Stone, and John Anderson just to name a few.
Though he met hard times with a failed marriage, his fathers death, his sisters cancer, and his mothers stroke (all within the same year) he never gave up his love for music and continued writing music and began touring once again.
Jay is currently on a very busy touring schedule and is in the process of writing a brand new album scheduled to release in late July 2007 ! Be sure to check back often for updates to the music ! Jay will be releasing "New Outlaw in Town" and "Here She Comes Again"..Once the album is released it will be a must hear and definately a must see project...Jay is very excited about this and wishes to thank all his fans for being there to support his music but, most of all being friends !!!All in all, his act is a must see.
