The Faster We Fall is the latest project from former iv4k front man/songwriter Rick Bisenius. After iv4k disbanded, Rick needed a new outlet for his song writing and soon teamed up with original iv4k guitarist Chris Holoyda. The two began recording demo versions of Rick’s new songs in Chris’s apartment recording studio. Bassist Tim Lappin (formerly of the south Jersey based Dirty Larry) recently joined the project and has started recording bass tracks out of his Philadelphia apartment.
Hello everyone, and thanks for checking out my new recording project. I promise to keep this site updated and to post new songs as we finish them to make it worth your while to keep visiting often. I want to make this project and this myspace site more of a conversation. So please, leave comments and let me know what you think, and I promise I’ll write back. I want to make this a lot more interactive than the normal myspace band profile. During my last four years of non-stop touring around the country I’ve met a lot of people and made a lot of friends. I didn’t want to lose all of those personal connections just because my old band broke up and we won’t be touring anymore. So I figured this site is a good way to keep in touch with everyone I’ve met. Hopefully you’ll all stick with me as this project evolves more into a “bandâ€.
The songs that are currently posted are the first demos that Chris and I have hashed out on his computer. Tim hasn’t finished recording bass parts yet, so the current versions feature Chris on bass (as well as 98% of the guitar). These are just rough home demos, so they feature all of the home demo trade marks such as crappy fake electric drums, direct-in guitar port distortion, and first take vocals. I promise these songs will get better as we go along. Once we’ve finished recording the first round of demos, my goal is to get in touch with some of the many many bands and musicians I’ve come to know over the years and enlist their help in recording real versions of these songs. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy our first attempt at getting these songs down.
