Valentin Arnold

I started playing medieval and folk music in the age of 17 at the medieval ensemble Joculatores Primaenoctis, until today I learned (and I still learn, of course) to play framedrums and riqq from Laurenz Schiffermüller, and I also play french bagpipes (several teachers like Albin Paulus, Matthias Branschke and Sepp Pichler) and Swedish bagpipes. These days I..m working on several folk projects with Ebriosi, Trollferd, G.D.P. in August 2007 my dream came true, I found the band DAUNZ!, a balfolk-bigband with Daniel Dobusch (diatonic accordeon) Jonny Cech (violin) Veronika Knam (violin, hurdy-gurdy) Doreen Bielau (chello, violin, guitar) Merit Zloch (harp) Laurenz Schiffermüller (percussion) Valentin Arnold (french and swedish bagpipes)This summer I had the pleasure to be a guest musician at the cd-production of Merit Zloch..s solo project (more about on her myspace site, look under my friends for her), and Matthias Loibner did the recording.. dear Merit, thank you sooo much for giving me this chance and let me be a part of this whole thing, I..ve never had such an experience before! Actually I..m working on the first TROLLFERD album which should be finished in spring 2008 (hopefully!), and together with Ebriosi we are recording our first album in January.
