Lil G (Hood Phantom Records CEO)

Born and raised in Champaign, IL, Lil' G (Little Geoffrey) grew up to realize his true love for the type of music that was heard around the city everyday. As a CEO, music producer, and an artist, he tries to find as much time as he can to enjoy the things he loves doing the most outside of college and work. Lil' G first started to produce music in the winter of 2005 and as he became more experienced, he handed off some of his beats to those closest to him. He started rapping in his high school years with a style that has left an impression on those who have had the pleasure of knowing his artistic abilities. His life experiences along with creative thinking skills allow him to come up with such lyrics that reflect his life and his feelings towards certain situations. In September of 2008, he successfully created his own record label, dubbed "Hood Phantom Records". The record label offers anything from beats-for-sale, recording time, to music videos. The label offers inspiring local artists to grow in order to become bigger and better. Now living on the west side of Champaign, he spends as much time as he can in the studio either making beats, laying down vocals for his tracks, producing the next hottest DVD, or planning shows and music videos with major artists. "Everything is a process in life. You cannot expect to have what you want whenever you please, but with hard work and motivation, anything is possible. You only get out of life what you put in. The time and effort that I put into the things that I love in my life will one day pay off. I am waiting ever so patiently for that day because once it comes, only then will I be able to live free.
