About Me

Originally from the land of the smoggies and the mystical parmo. Tracey wandered south many years ago. The accent may have been smoothed out but she still says "grass" as it's written - not with that extra r. She misses the hills and the sea but she's still not sure about the sky clashing blue that they painted the Transporter.
Then having spent 20 years or so enjoying many rounds of personal development opportunities Tracey began to wonder if there was more to life than this. Exposed to a dark and murky fantasy world encompassing knowledge management, data modelling and social network analysis, she thinks fondly of the distributed workplace, where face time is a rather quaint concept and no one can hear you scream.
When she found herself attempting to participate in discussing (not agreeing that would be a different meeting) the distinction between a data standard for the input format and one for the output format of some meaningless identifier, she knew the end was near.
When asked the question “Why do you come to work?” She answered “To pay my mortgage.” But then one day she realised that she didn't have a mortgage. Then when all seemed lost, the loving and caring institution (where she went to stare at the walls) took pity on her. She was given one final round of STAR interview treatment for old times sake and then offered some money to go away. It was time to go outside.
What is Tracey up to these days? A bit of cycling (downhill preferred), inadequate guitar playing, woeful golf, amateur kitchen painting. No, what job is she doing?
So now Tracey is “temporarily resting”. She decided to give this MySpace thing a go. However, her songwriting skills are somewhat challenged by an inability to get them into a key that suits her specialised vocal range.
Tracey has finally finished her “mood” symphony in four movements. Alas, her moods are ever changing, four movements are definitely not enough and she may have to add some more.
