About Me
In previous lives, Krijn has worked as a creative director in several international advertising agencies. He founded his own creative shop 'LABORATORIVM' in 1996. In this Lab, art, music, graphics and advertising were all mixed. In 2006, Krijn broke away to focus on photography. Krijn's work combines graphic but classical aesthetics with a contemporary view on people and their emotions. Inspired by (in no particular order) Jimi Hendrix, Rembrandt, Bettina Rheims, DJ Krush, Piet Mondriaan, Iggy Pop, Johannes Vermeer, Annie Leibovitch, Johnny Burnette, Mark Quinn, Charles Saatchi, David Lachapelle, Joel Peter Witkin, Robert Longo, Jurassic Five, Francis Bacon, Man Ray, Donald Duck and many many others.
