About Me

30 odd years of messing about in Duos such as the Impromptu Blues Band ( so called because we jammed everything) and the folky Claverton Cobblers convinced me that I needed a better guitar. Thankfully it has now happened and I'm finding I can play now some stuff that was impossible on my old battle-axe. I wish I'd done it sooner.I've played slide blues right from the start but only recently splashed out on a proper tricone slide machine. Best thing I ever did! Recently I've upgraded it with proper National cones and it has transformed the instrument. It now has that authentic 30s Delta tone, and just cries out to be played. Great for arranging new slide tunes, mixed with a bit of fingerstyle. Still learning though, and this place is the best for finding and listen to other blues players. Also very active on the ezFolk.com site, and ace place for acoustic folk and blues musicians. Hope you like what you hear.
