Damn Neighbors

About Me

The "Damn Neighbors" started out from an apartment complex in the bay area where Jake (guitar), Mel (bass), and Ron (drums) were next door neighbors (can you guess where we got our name, hint, hint). We started out just having little blues jams in the stairwell (for the great acoustics) and eventually formed the "Damn Neighbors" about three years later. Shortly after our formation we added Sam (vocals) and Vinny (harmonica, or "mouth harp" to those blues guys) to the roster and have been having a great time ever since. The "Damn Neighbors" musical stylings range from the blues to R&B, even dipping into early rock styles such as rockabilly and surf. Our main focus and goal is to get people away from their day to day lives and allow them to let go and just enjoy themselves. Basically we want the beat to go to your feet and get those booties shakin' ;-). One of the best things about the "Damn Neighbors" is that not only do we play great classic songs ranging from Eric Clapton to Muddy Waters and everywhere in between, but we also write many originals such as "Live & Learn", "3a.m. Blues", and "She's Leavin" to name just a few. We hope to have a C.D. out for all to hear very soon (titled: "Keep It Down"), as well as some samples for everyone on the net to enjoy. The "Damn Neighbors" send their love for music to all, and hope to see you soon at one of our shows.Interested in booking the "Damn Neighbors" for a show or just want to drop us a line?
