About:
Unveiled: The Other Iran is a coffee table book project that commemorates the success of Iranian-Americans in mainstream society. This book will feature the original photography taken by Nader Pasha Farzan and Nolan Hamid Gaudreau, the authors of Unveiled. The photography will be comprised of prominent Iranian-American figures in the fields of music, entertainment, academia, business, media/journalism, literature, art, modeling, and fashion/design. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit Child Foundation.
Benefit:
Child Foundation, based in Oregon, is an international non-profit organization that focuses on underprivileged children in Iran. They provide scholarships for orphans who cannot afford to go to school and also provide healthcare to poor children with cancer. Goals:
The purpose of this book is to not only support a worthwhile cause but also to educate and inform the general public about the wonderful Iranian-American community, and give recognition to those who have risen above and contributed in a meaningful way. Given the current climate of our world, where fear is paramount and Iran is becoming yet again the center of attention, Unveiled will do exactly what it states, unmasking the stereotype to present a clearer picture of the people of this misunderstood country.
Nader Pasha Farzan (b. 1984) Nolan Hamid Gaudreau (b. 1984)
Nader resides in San Francisco, CA. Nader's focus in art lies in photography and painting. Nader holds a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Irvine and is currently working at a capital management firm. Nolan, also originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, resides in Los Angeles, CA. His areas of expertise are in digital design and photography. Nolan holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University and works as a research analyst for an investment bank located in Los Angeles, CA.
