Work hard, play harder!!!

About Me

I DO NOT ADD FRIENDS OR RESPOND TO PEOPLE THAT I DON'T KNOW. I'M SURE YOU'RE GREAT, BUT I ONLY USE THIS TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE I KNOW. I PROMISE YOU WON'T HEAR BACK FROM MEBut, to catch all my friends up who I may not have talked to in a while: I moved away from my beloved Long Beach to Los Angeles. I am now 4 miles away from work, as opposed to 30 miles, and am realizing how great life is without having to get on a freeway in the mornings!! Woo Hoo!I work for the County of Los Angeles - Department of Mental Health and love what I do. I get to mess with all the bureaucratic rules and try to make things more functional. Not being sarcastic here, I love change and I love it even more when it's something that I was able to make happen.Mmm, one other thing I love is USC Football!! Went there for Grad School (Masters in Social Work and in Public Administration) and now have it in my blood. FIGHT ON

My Interests

Loving life with my friends and family...

..

I'd like to meet:

I think I have enough fabulous people in my life....but thanks :)..

Music:

I like everything. My ipod ranges from Jack Johnson to Korn to Duke Ellington to Al Green to Steve Miller Band to Chris Issak to Eazy E to Steel Pulse and everything in between. Hmm, not sure why I choose to list those...

Movies:

Anyone who knows me knows that my memory sucks. I know I love Dirty Dancing because I've watched it a million times. Other than that I can barely remember the titles of the movies that I watch

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives. Other than the occasional Friends, That 70s Show and Everyone Loves Raymond re-runs, that's pretty much all the TV I watch.

Books:

I go on book shopping sprees and then never have time to read them. Most the books I've been getting (but not reading) recently deal with various Management issues. The last book I did read was the Tipping Point. Awesome book, if I found time to read it you can too!

Heroes:

Anyone who stands up for people who are being taken advantage of or demoralized. Also, my grandpa who recently passed away. I wish all men could have took notes from him on how to be both an extraordinary businessman as well as an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. And of course my mommy and daddy, without them I'd be nothing...hehe, literally ;)
