About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
Welcome to my site here on myspace.com!I'm a freelance musician from Hamburg, northern Germany. I play the flute, well, I play all sorts of flutes, concert flute (from piccolo to bass flute), recorders (from Garklein to bass), whistles, asian flutes and reeds. Check out my flute profile to hear more of my flute playing.
I like to explore the possibilities of my instrument (both flute and voice), so sometimes I produce some rather unfamiliar sounds. Don't be alarmed! ;-D
I don't see myself performing just one particular style of music, but rather like to play just whatever I find interesting or challenging. This leads to meeting interesting people and finding interesting music as well as to composing music myself.
One of my main projects is the band Mediterra Musica , in which I work on the fusion of traditional music from all over the world with new sound appeals. Check it out!
I play a handmade Miyazawa with a specially made headjoint, a Meyer Piccolo from around 1850, a Mönnig wide bore alto flute and a Jupiter DiMedici bass flute.
