About Me

Spawning from the ashes of the 70's progfusion phenomina - former members of Hokum, Braenstorm. This Minnesota based technical instrumentally retarded duo of Kurt and MJ began their collaborative efforts in the dungeons of studio - TV. What began as an idea of taking all of the notes and beats, at least the ones they knew, and putting them together to create musical art, was an idea of unimaginable proportions. Yet there they were, challenging the very limits of procrastination, apathy, and unmotivation, where miraculously the music began to take form. Many musicians have taken the opportunity to attempt to collaborate, only to leave after being uninspired by the bands' dedication to playing music with no commercial value, direction, or conection to any known audience, these malcontent musicians seemed perfectly content to invent music that consists of beats, notes, chords, rhythms and melody, unique as that may seem, ideas were invented, exacted, expounded and harnessed. The band continues to patiently develop a variety of music that culminates from the many years of hearing and playing around, or inspiration as some may say. The name Taciturnus Viatic describes the bands musical ideal.

Sounds Like: Progressive Instrumental Technical Metal Fusion.
7/8ths is the first recorded demo of many to come.
The artists have over a full cds worth of material composed with a variety of styles, all heavy, instrumental, and challenging and are currently working on recording each song, with anticipation of much improved results as they gain more experience in the recording process.
Record Label: Unsigned
